The blockade placed by Israel over Gaza has led to humanitarian crisis in the area. Gaza experiences economic and food challenges with much of the population relying on food donations from humanitarian agencies (Brück et al., 2019). The areaalso lacks well-equipped health facilities and mostly relies on mobile health clinics (BBC, 2015). Internal divisions stemming from ideological differences between Hamas and Fatah have significantly contributed to this crisis. Therefore, this dissertation will examine the impact of Palestinian internal division on the humanitarian situation in Gaza from 2007 to 2020.
