Contemporary Rep of Punishment
12-15 page essay will provide an analysis of contemporary representations of punishment in everyday life and/or popular
culture from western culture;
Must present an argument statement with support;
Can include institutional productions and regulations of punishment
and penalty, official governmental or non-governmental reports,
media and/or artistic or other cultural renditions related to
contemporary representations of punishment;
May focus on a particular theme or include diverse representations;
May use additional academic sources, but not required;
Any academic citation style may be used just be consistent.
