Imagine that the School of Social and Community Services at College is preparing for an upcoming conference; the theme of the conference is the future of Social and Community Services. Lorraine Smith, who is the Dean of the School of Social and Community Services, has asked students from program areas across the Centre, to propose who should be the keynote speaker for the conference.
Lorraine Smith has asked students because she wants to know that the School of Social and Community Services students have a finger on the pulse of the industry. In other words, she wants to know that you are aware of the latest things happening in the industry, including some of the leaders, trends, gamechangers, and disruptors in the industry. Lorraine Smith has also said that she wants to use these proposals to get a glimpse into why the School of Social and Community Services students are passionate about and excited to enter the Canadian social and community services industry.
