1. Choose a task or process students encounter at Lamar University or online at lamar.edu. I believe the most important task students encounter at Lamar University is the applying process. (getting into the university)

2. Submit your high school transcripts to Lamar University. You can visit credentials-inc.com to request an electronic transcript to be sent to Lamar University.
3. Wait for the acceptance letter from Lamar University.
4. Once accepted, setup an appointment to speak with an advisor to receive guidance on the classes required for the field of study one chooses.
5. Look into financial aid to see if you qualify for assistance.
6. Apply for any scholarships the university may offer.
4. Write a brief introduction of the task and any information your reader needs before they begin.
5. Define any potentially unfamiliar terms.
6. Use imperative verbs.
7. Consider document design and use bullet points and/or numbered lists when effective.
8. Consider using visuals to help your readers.
9. Write a brief conclusion that includes potential troubleshooting or information for how to get further assistance.
