Article Analysis – Public perception
In this assignment, you will choose an article that is present in the general media. You can choose any article you like, but the focus must be on midwives, midwifery or maternity care (related to midwifery).
You are required to critically analyse this article to identify aspects including the role, scope and integrity of the registered midwife, and how the article may impact on the public perception of midwifery practice.
The structure of this assignment will to be a response to the article that challenges or expands on the views of the article. The over arching tone of your assignment will be determined by the audience you choose to direct your response to. This could be an open letter to the general public, hospital administration, government, union or even a call to action for other midwives.
Your assignment should be guided by and supported with quality evidence.
As a midwifery student view write a open letter, either to the health organization, government or to mother, using appropriate language for the target audience.
