Reading Curriculum Based Measurement
Write an assessment report for the information you gathered through these assessments.
Include the following sections in your report :
Student Background: Information gathered from an interview with teacher/parent and any other records that were available for review. Include the student’s age, grade, any factors that could impede performance (documented disabilities or conditions), and general feedback on how the student performs in reading in school.
Assessment Tools Used: List the tools and passages used for the probes. Review the Fry Readability calculations. Identify your rationale for selecting these passages.
Observations: Reflect on the student’s behaviors while completing the assessments.
Results/Interpretation: Present the student’s results/scores on the assessments. Interpret the results – what do these scores mean? Describe the student’s strengths and needs related to Reading
Recommendations: Provide recommendations for progress monitoring this student in the future. What other additional interventions/strategies would you recommend to support this student’s learning?
Graph: Create a line graph that can be used to track the student’s progress if these assessment probes were used for long-term progress monitoring.
