Theory Project: Overview
During this course, you will learn about many nursing and health-related theories. To learn more about a particular theory in depth, select one theory and create a 5- to 20-minute video presentation about the theorist (see the following list ).
Your video presentation will include some biographical information about the theorist and their influences, an overview of the theory, a critique of the theory, a measurable concept of the theory, and a description of the theorist’s most significant contributions to nursing/health care.
Demonstrate the application of the theory to show its application to clinical practice.
During each week of this course, you will be required to complete a portion of this presentation.
Select a theorist and provide a rationale for your selection. Select another theorist.
If you are not sure who you want to select, reflect on your own clinical practice and consider some concepts and topics of importance to you.
Perform a literature search using those words combined with “theory” and you will find theories from which to choose.
