For this week’s assignment, you will create a 10- to 12-slide PowerPoint® presentation in which you will evaluate clinical, ethical, and legal issues based on the case scenarios provided.
This type of presentation would be used to present your case to your treatment team for a particular client.
To complete this assignment, use TAP 21, the NAADAC Codes of Ethics for Addiction Counselors, along with HIPAA regulations.

Consider the following in your presentation:
What are the clinical concerns in the case?
What are the ethical responsibilities of the addiction professional in the case?
What are potential ethical and legal issues the professional may face when treating clients with risks of dangerous behavior?
How do your own personal, cultural, spiritual, and socioeconomic biases impact your ethical decision-making with your selected case study?
Address the clinical concerns in the case, providing the ethical codes from NAADAC Code of Ethics (3–4 slides).
Address the ethical responsibilities of the counselor in the case, providing the ethical codes from NAADAC Code of Ethics (3–4 slides).
Address the ethical and legal issues the professional may face when treating clients who have potential risks of dangerous behavior, using both the professional competencies for addiction counselors and the NAADAC Code of Ethics (3–4 slides).
Examine your own personal, cultural, spiritual, and socioeconomic bias by describing how your experiences have influenced your thinking and beliefs in each of these areas.
Define how you can maintain objectivity while working with diverse clients. Provide examples based on the case study (1–2 slides).
Then, design a PowerPoint presentation with 10–12 slides (not including the title slide or references) to present this information. You will need to include speaker notes to supplement your slides. Audio recording is not required.
