Go to aamu.edu,
Click Library (upper right),
Click online databases (under library resources – to the left)
Choose the database appropriate to your topic.
Should you have issues logging on, click the link on the library page that reads “Need Help Logging In?”
All annotations should have the components listed below:
Reference: Alphabetical reference MLA format; use a hanging indent paragraph structure; pay attention to capitalization, spacing, italics, and punctuation.
Summary Paragraph: Summary paragraph that summarizes the source and the author’s main points and relevance to your research, and the credibility, reliability and timeliness of the source material.
Assessment Paragraph:Your assessment should include a response to the following questions: How will you use the source?
Does it define or explain the problem or issue? Support or contrast your statement?
Identify the section of your project where you could include your source. Avoid obvious ideas such as “this article was interesting and will be used in paper” or “this source will help prove the ideas.”
Instead, be specific about where this source will be used and which ideas it will help to prove.
