Create a research question from the topic “Issues with the digitization of library materials in an academic library and how they (the academic library) are solving these issues.”
This research question should be accompanied by an introduction in which you present the type of library setting (SETTING IS AN ACADEMIC LIBRARY) in which the research will take place and a problem statement in which you define the issues represented in the question, its importance, and any defining factors including the context in which you intend to explore it.
Write a problem statement which includes the basic information needed in order to:
1. contextualize the research question and
2. explain the importance of that question for LIS professionals, the specific population studied, and/or society in general.
Remember to cite appropriate sources. At least 2 citations of peer reviewed information sources published within the last 5 years for journals (NOTHING PRIOR TO 2018) and within the last 7 years (NOTHING PRIOR TO 2016) for monographs (e.g. books and reports).
The paper should have at least three sections: An introduction (where the topic and context are presented); a research question (where the research question is presented along with its important components and definitions, with a brief rationale, i.e. why research this topic?); and a problem Statement (i.e. why is this an important question to research? Who is affected by this?);
Has a word count between 500 to 800 words;
Uses section headings to divide sections appropriately.
