Make up a questionnaire that is multiple choice (agree/disagree/strongly disagree etc) with 10 questions. The questionnaire needs to be about peoples opinions on the assignment topic. Fabricate 25 peoples responses to these 10 questions.
After this put a section for analysis where you need bar graphs and pie charts illustrating the answers from these participants and then in the discussion section can you put in a paragraph analysing these results. include the empty questionnaire in the appendices.
The discussion section: needs to be split into 4:
Section 1: “past” discoveries of DNA/double helix, rDNA , dolly the sheep and the human genome project. (in a timeline order of events) you also add a bit of English literature about how novellas like Frankenstein and Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde lead to changing public mentality about genetic modification.
Section 2: “present” how those discoveries have influenced modern medicine today eg: stem cell research, therapeutic cloning, designer babies. Could you also relate psychology into this by talking about the psychology behind the inventions and how people are willing to take the risk by taking these therapies.
Section 3: “future” how with these technologies we have looked at, how they help to sustain life on planet earth – include relevant topics like climate change/ overpopulation etc and how genetic modification can help humans to sustain life on this planet.
Section 4: analysis of questionnaire results and link to the rest of the assignment
