Assessment 1.
A: (20%) of the overall mark. (Research Methods) Learning Outcomes 3 and 4.
For this assessment students will be asked to
Search for 3 research papers (one qualitative and two quantitative) relevant to their chosen topic for the final literature review
Summarise the in a data extraction table
Write a short summary for each paper (200 words maximum)
Appraise them using an appropriate CASP (Critical Appraisal Skills Program) tool.
The assessment will be conducted using the Test function in the Survey/test option on blackboard
The assessment will weight 20% of the overall mark.
A2: (80% of the overall mark). Thesis submission-coursework. Learning Outcomes 1, 2, 3, 4, & 5.
Write 8000 words literature review using on a topic of choice related to the substance use or addictive disorders, using a systematic approach.
The assessment will weight 80% of the overall mark.
