1. The main goal is to utilize periodization assuming the last competition or tournament is after week 52. The recommend method is to work backwards from the last week.
A link has been provided to better explain periodization.Submit in the same format as assignment 1.
For Assignments 3 and 4 you will be developing the details including the specific training variables, workouts, and competitions so you do not need to include those details yet.
Create the off-season, pre-season and in-season phases/cycles for the athlete using the principles of periodization.
Phases/cycles should include the duration of each part of the yearly plan with the number of weeks that each part is followed, and an overview of the relative volume, intensity, and energy systems emphasized.
The rationale must be explained in at least one paragraph for each phase and/or cycle. Furthermore, any assessments planned during or following each phase should be explained with a detailed rationale (and supporting references).
You are required to provide a chart for each “season” of the schedule as way of organizing it. The “details” of each season will be filled in during Assignments 3
Use at least 5 appropriate outside sources to help you develop this program. The worksheet, including visuals must be submitted as a single WORD document, with citations and references in APA format.
When completing the worksheet, please be sure to include appropriate scholarly, peer-reviewed references. Refer to the sample document if you need a refresher on how to include in-text citations within your worksheet.
The worksheet must include:
