Literature Review for Student-Defined Project
Purpose:
The purpose of the literature review is to understand the state-of-the-art related to the student-defined project by conducting a formal review of the literature that currently exists. Through this exercise, you will understand how to create references and bibliography to create a formal literature review.
Instructions:
1. Find 2 journal publications, 2 conference publications, 1 patent, and 2 websites closely related to your project.
2. In a word document, place at least 1 figure from each publication, patent, and website. If there is an important table, also put the table into the word document.
3. Label each figure and table and use 1-2 sentences to describe and summarize what the figure or table is about.
4. Create a reference for each figure.
5. Write a summary (1-2 paragraphs) about what you think the state-of-the-art is regarding the technology for your student-defined project.
6. Create a bibliography from the references you have created above.
