PR Portfolio based of client brief video
You are to research and prepare a portfolio of corporate public relations tools for a client organisation* which you will be provided with. Details on this client organisation will be provided in classes, and information will be posted on the course Blackboard. A client brief will be provided in the lecture, and client feedback will also be incorporated in the lecture series.
To accompany your portfolio, you should also provide a cover document which outlines the following:
An analysis of the organisation (eg. who the organisation is/the character of the organisation, industry-type/nature of business, uniquenesses, and the communication approach of this organisation), and decisions made in the design of these tools to ensure they reflect the essence of the organisation.
The need/opportunity/event that the public relations tools focus around;
The key messages to be shared, and the target publics for the tools;
The research undertaken to help inform the writing of this portfolio (including theoretical perspectives), and how key findings from this research have been used to inform design of the tools.
Instructions on submitting this assignment will be provided on the course Blackboard – and will also be provided in classes.The portfolio will contain the tools mentioned in the Assessment Booklet (note: this list will be finalised in consultation with client organisation’s needs). If the client organisation requires any variation in this portfolio of tools, students will be informed via the lecture, tutorials, email message, and notice placed on the course Blackboard.
(N.B. While the tools are to be prepared to publishable standard, you should not actually publish any of the material for the purpose of this assessment task. Prepare mock-ups only. It will be at the client organisation’s discretion whether they wish to move to publishing any of the material you prepare.)
Please view the attached documents for specifics components of the assignment.
