You are to explore at least part of one or all of one of the readings. Since the essay will require you to analyze and interpret the readings, little to no research is required. The essay can be submitted electronically via email. If you incur issues with email submissions, submit a hard copy on the day the exam essay is due. At the end of your introductory paragraph, write a thesis sentence that clarifies the major points you want to make about these readings (remember, your final thesis sentence can be constructed after you’ve worked out your main discussion and argument). Give your essay a title and use MLA format for citing. Your essay should be your own work, not patches of opinion and information from online and other sources. In whatever rare instances that you use online resources, be sure to cite these clearly and properly.
