Results per Hypothesis:
– Hypothesis 1: If supply increases in an area this has a negative relationship on the average price of gig platform cleaning jobs in that area.
No significant result in model 2 or 3.
– Hypothesis 2: If demand increases in an area this has a positive relationship on the average price of gig platform cleaning jobs in that area.
No significant result in model 2 or 3
– Hypothesis 3: Average Income in an area has a positive relationship with price of gig platform cleaning jobs in that area.
No significant result in model 2 but somehow the variable in statistically significant in model 3 when the two level-2 identifier variables are incorporated in the model.
– Hypothesis 4: The presence of surrounding neighbourhoods with an above average cleaner ratio has a negative relationship with the average price of gig platform cleaning jobs in that area.
This variable is statistically significant in model 3 (not included in model 2)
– Hypothesis 5: An increase in demand in surrounding areas has a positive relationship with the price of gig platform cleaning jobs in that area.
