Great Expectations
Great Expectations is a book written by Charles Dickens which clearly analyses personal growth and development in the life of an orphan called Philip Pirrip who is also nicknamed Pips. The book published in 1861 is set in London as well as Kent in the mid-1800s. The novel opens in the graveyard where Pips is supported by a convict known as Abel Magwitch .
