This pandemic has put LGBTQ individuals in Nigeria, Iran, and Iraq at a bigger risk, Covid 19 has caused them to become a bigger target group by increasing hate crimes towards them.
Did you know that as of today at least 34 transgender people have been killed this year? The LGBTQ community has become a huge target group during this pandemic, the hate crimes towards them and homophobia have increased. Although they consistently experienced hate violence throughout the world this pandemic has increased the killings and violence of LGBTQ, particularly in these three countries; Iran, Iraq, and Nigeria. LGBTQ’s have never been safe in those countries however this pandemic has had a huge negative impact on them which puts them at a bigger risk.
