Appendicitis is one of the familiar and commonest emergency surgical conditions among children between age 12 and 18 years. Hockenberry and Wilson (2011, p.1310) specified that “Appendicitis is the inflammation of the vermiform appendix (blind sac at the end of the cecum)”. In this paper, the main focus is to compare and contrast the management of acute appendicitis in children.
