Write a rhetorical analysis essay on an item of your choice. It can be an item of pop culture, a poster, a film, a toy, a television episode, a commercial, a song, a poem, artwork, whatever. Your task is to analyze the various rhetoric (ethos, pathos, and/or logos) of your given item. What rhetoric is used? How is it used? What is the effect of this rhetoric?
A rhetorical analysis looks at an item’s use of ethos, pathos, and/or logos. Keep in mind, though, that any given item may or may not use all of these devices.
For example, a given commercial may mostly utilize pathos in its message. If that’s the case, your essay paragraphs may focus on different aspects of pathos (one essay section on music, one on images, and so on).
