Arouse the reader’s interest. You should set the scene by demonstrating why the debate matters, put it in context. Define or explain key terms if necessary.
Make your line of argument clear and give BRIEF outline of evidence you are going to examine. You will need to use citations in here to support your claims.

Here you develop your argument and must avoid lots of description.
At level four and above your can not rely on pure description, you must demonstrate that you have thought about the ideas (Use the previous slides as a guide).
Break different ideas down into paragraphs making sure there is a logical sequence from each one to the next, and that overall a persuasive line of reasoning is developed
Conclusion
BRIEFLY summarise the main ideas, then state your own conclusion (staying in third person). EG make a decision regarding influence, impact or validity or the evidence presented. Make a prediction etc.
