1 Critical thinking is important in groups because it helps communication, evaluating information, teamwork, decision making, etc.
It also helps the group to be creative, be open to one another, bring in different thoughts, ideas, and questions that can help enhance the group’s decision-making on what is the best outcome from the information they have gathered as a team. “Then the solution is developed on the basis of all that information and the best reasoning and logic you can use” (page 164).
Facts and opinions are two different words because a fact is a statement that can be proven with evidence or backed up with documents/resources in an argument. As for an opinion, it is when someone expresses their thoughts and feelings on something. An example of a fact is that the capital of Minnesota is St. Paul.
This is true if you look at the United States map. An example of an opinion is, strawberry ice cream is the best flavor. This is an opinion because it’s what I believe is the best flavor, but not everyone may think it is.
