PORTRAIT
Create a portrait of yourself. You must not use a photo of yourself or work from an image in your mind’s eye, but rather you must set up a mirror so you can see yourself as you make the portrait.
You should collect some possible useful materials and sit down and look at yourself in the mirror. You should begin quickly and complete the work in less than an hour. Do not think too much. You don’t have to be an artist—let yourself go! Just remember you are capturing yourself as you present yourself on this day for posterity.
When you are done, write the title of your work on or near the work: “My Self Portrait: (Your Name) as Captured by Me on (Date).
Then, take a photo of your work (with title) and upload it. Also include with it a short (approx.200 word) description of the process and a slightly longer (200 word) personal response to your Self Portrait.
