5.5 Assignment
Narration is a form of demonstrating comprehension.
After a student reads a section, asking for a narration means they recall the information they just read and tell it back to the teacher (without peeking back at the text). This method of checking comprehension puts value on the child because they are taking in information and running it through their own filter based on their own experiences. This is a “whole child” practice.
Instructions
Read Theatre Brief Chapters 13-15
See if you can read the section, and recall as much as you can for each part (without peeking!).
Narrate each section- either written or recorded audio. (30 points)
