Cover letter Assignments
There are two specific steps you’ll need to take in order to prepare for the assignment.
First, find two job listings on the Monster.com website. Choose positions that interest you or that you may qualify for based on your education and work experience. Be sure to make note of the website address (the URL) and Monster reference or the listing number for both – you’ll need to hand them in as part of the assignment.
Next, write two application letters – one in response to each of the two listings you have decided upon. Additionally, look at the format below as well as a sample cover letter that appears in the current unit of ENW 300.
You should review the example closely before you start work on your assignment. Each of your letters should run a minimum of 400 words in length single-spaced, not counting addresses and other headings.
THREE. Use only Monster.com job listings that include a hiring company’s name.
In this assignment, you are required to gather up information on your prospective employer and incorporate it in the text of your letter (more on that in a post below.)
