Week 6 Nervous Tissue, The Brain and The Cranial Nerves
Post: There are two parts to this discussion post.
Part 1: Choose one of the major regions of the brain (e.g. brainstem, diencephalon, cerebrum) and explain the structures and functions of the various components that comprise that region of the brain.
Part 2: Choose one cranial nerve. Give its name and correct cranial nerve number. Explain where it connects to the brain, and what would happen if it was unable to transmit action potentials. Then briefly research a real-life disease or condition that might lead to that cranial nerve being non-functional. Share your findings and cite the resource you used for this.
