Consider the videos and articles you have just digested. Each culture has distinct characteristics, and yet there are similarities as well.
Write a brief posting (250 – 350 words) in which you discuss one difference and one similarity in the treatment of religion in the play Raja Edepus from Indonesia and Kutiyattam: Sanskrit Theatre from India.
What is common ground and what is different?
A DISAPPEARING NUMBER IS NOT AN INDIAN PLAY. It is an English play that has Indian characters in the cast, and the location of the play is partly in England and partly in India. Do not refer to this play in your writing as an example of Indian theatre.
The title of the Play: Raja Edepus, adapted from Oedipus Tyrannos by Sophocles Performed at the Bali Arts Festival in July 2006.
