This task requires you to research and plan and write an argumentative research essay (1000w +/-10%) in answer to the question – “Is law neutral?” .
Answer this question from the perspective of each of the four key sociological approaches (consensus, critical, constructionist and postmodern/poststructural) explaining how each sort of sociologist would respond to the question.
Demonstrate an understanding of the material covered in the first module, and a capacity to use each perspective to make an argument in response to the question
Draw on at least 2 academic readings from the course as well as at least 4 academic articles from your own research to back up your claims.
