Follow the Bill Project
The timing of this course presents us with a unique opportunity to follow legislation through a session of the Texas Government.
Your task will be to find a piece of legislation (a bill) and follow it through the process. For some context by the Texas Tribune, “While thousands of bills are filed — more than 7,000 bills were filed in the two most recent regular sessions — only around a thousand will pass.” Odds are, your bill will die too, which means it is highly likely the legislation you choose to follow will not make it to the Governor’s desk.
Select legislation at random or look up who represents you and choose legislation they have filed.
Create a way to track your legislation. Your choice.
Create a presentation in the software of your choice: Prezi, PPT, Google Slides, etc.
