Personal Negotiation Resources Development Plan
Your submission should discuss your history, resources, and plans for becoming a better negotiator. As always, succinct professional writing is valued. Your primary concern should be to fully answer the prompt.
Submissions should include:
a review of your history of negotiating. What events or activities demonstrate your motivation and abilities?
a discussion of your learnings about yourself and negotiating from the exercises and discussions in this course.
a plan for increasing your readiness for negotiating. (see below for tips to get started)
Tips to get started: Review your personal experiences with negotiations (Discussion 1). This could be an interesting start to see how you described your negotiation experience. Do you commonly negotiate employee salaries? Did you talk about job offer negotiations? Do you regularly negotiate for consumer goods? Did you claim you had little to no experience, but now realize your definition was too narrow? Take when you said and discuss how the concepts in this course you’ve found helpful and relevant to your own experience. Then, create a plan. This might include concepts you’d like to improve on, tools you’ve underutilized, or abilities you believe need to be developed.
