1. In my opinion, CEOs of larger firms in the United states, earn entirely too much money. On average, a CEO earns over 14 million dollars, on median- over 20 million. That’s over 200 times more than the average worker of those companies. The highest earning CEOs of the largest companies make in the 9 digits- from $100,000,000 to almost $900,000,000. That’s a ridiculous amount of money- especially when it outpaces workers in that company to an absolutely absurd degree. Salary is usually commensurate with several factors, the work put in, the value the person brings to the company, the price the market puts on that work, etcetera. And I think you can have a good argument for why a CEO makes 10 or 20 times the amount of the average worker. Some CEOs maybe even 40 times- it’s an extraordinarily stressful job with a huge amount of responsibility. But there’s a line. And CEOs of large companies in the United states have been crossing it for a while. There is no CEO that brings in almost a billion dollars of work- not by themselves. The numbers become arbitrary. And they’re certainly not ethical or fair, not when you look at the rest of the workers in the company. Work is, in many spaces, subjective. But it’s not subjective enough to say that a CEO is working almost 300 times harder than a warehouse worker. There’s no amount of money, that CEO is personally responsible for bringing to a company, that would justify over $100 million in salary. No amount of innovative ideas or return of investment for the company. Not in my opinion.

2. The concern that CEOs of large firms in the United States are earning too much is a valid one, given that the average pay of the 100 top CEOs in 2021 was significantly higher than previous years. The current system appears to be rigged to benefit the wealthy at the expense of workers and the rest of us.

In order to address this issue, shareholders should be encouraged to exercise their “say on pay” vote more often and put pressure on companies to keep executive compensation packages in check. Governments should also look into regulating executive pay and introducing pay ratios that limit the ratio between CEO’s and average worker’s pay to a specific level. Additionally, companies should be encouraged to promote diversity and inclusion to ensure that executive pay is fair and in line with the law.

These steps, if taken, could help address the issue of overpaid CEOs, and ensure that executive pay is fair and in line with the laws of the country.

4. My ads are targeted at business owners/ operators, so focus on both the product and its effect on their profitability. I did some research and found almost all WS food service ads include a – and a mention of delivery, which is why those are included as well. The goal is a fairly niche audience being reached, but a high click through rate, and use of high bids to appear near the top, limited with very specific geo-targeting.
