As an MFT,(MARRIAGE & FAMILY THERAPIST) you will encounter individuals, couples and families who have experienced stressful events and trauma. Clients often seek therapy for help in responding to these events.
After reading the articles from this week, your assignment is to create a handout on Resiliency. It should be organized in a handout style so that the client and therapist can use it as a psychoeducational tool.
The handout needs to include: 1) a definition of resiliency (such as psychological, family/relational resiliency, etc.); 2) factors that promote resiliency and family/relational resiliency; 3) any additional information from the readings on resiliency that your clients would find helpful.
