Statement of Purpose
Thought my bachelor’s I was continually looking to understand computer architecture to be able to bring new ideas into this filed. But after earning my bachelor’s degrees, I saw that mastering a computer architectures requires going deeper into a certain sector because modern technology makes it difficult to understand a design in its entirety. As a result of the rapid development of computer architectures and the utilization of transistors, which made it possible to incorporate an entire computer onto a single small chip (SoC), new technologies like augmented and virtual reality (AR/VR) that make use of AI and deep learning have emerged and to reach even smaller designs and greater capability to handle complex algorithms and vast amounts of data quickly and effectively, these excellent technologies still require additional research and computer hardware enhancements. I will need a master’s degree from a reputable program at The University of Austin the future to succeed professionally. I will also be able to learn more about computer architecture and participate in professional research projects that will help me realize my ideas.
After graduating, Accenture hired me as an ASIC design verification engineer. I gained a deeper understanding of cutting-edge technologies like augmented and virtual reality, machine learning, artificial intelligence (AI), 5G, cloud computing, cyber security, and others. Additionally, how these technologies can be incorporated into the design of a product to produce impressive technology. In addition, I had the opportunity to participate in a real-world project to gain a deeper understanding of computer architectures. I have studied a RISC-V processor and created the entire verification environment using UVM methodology
In March 2022, I began working for Meta as a CW employee. I had the opportunity to interact with experts and knowledgeable groups creating Meta Prosimians’ AR/VR solutions. My team at Meta now verifies the SoC for the subsystems that renders that graphics data and project into displays Subsysetm. I’m in charge of creating the full end-to-end test for the display subsystem and am also an owner of an IP verification inside displays subsystem. As a member of the SoC team, I got the chance to examine each subsystem at the SoC level and discover how it affected the performance as a whole. Also learning the limitations of theses Subsystems was also helpful to me because it inspired me to find opportunities to further my education and broaden.
In view of the promised advantages that AR/VR promise to provide, the necessity for more ideas on how to improve the overall computer architecture in order to exploit these new technologies becomes both tough and exciting. I’m inspired to go on a new adventure, study more, and carry out academic studies. To continue my research on how to improve the architecture of augmented reality and virtual reality computers, I would be overjoyed to be accepted into the University of Austin’s master’s program. In order to enable the creation of virtual objects in the real world, I am particularly interested in conducting research on how we may do so by creating products based on SoCs that incorporate deep learning and computer vision technology.
