Demonstrate your understanding of the food chain in the environment.
Task
Pick an ecoregion from the map located here: https://ecoregions.appspot.com/
Read about the ecoregion and do further research on it on the internet. For instance, you can search for your specific bioregion in Wikipedia, which often gives good information about the area’s flora and fauna.
Using the information you learned, create your own food chain. Make sure you clearly identify what bioregion you are exploring.
Label each organism with the name (Producer, Primary Consumer, Secondary Consumer, Tertiary Consumer, Decomposer) and also paste an image of the organism next to or underneath its name. You can do a simple Google search for these images.
Lastly, write a narrative of about 250 words where you describe this ecosystem and the various interactions between the trophic levels. Do some research to explain why the various organisms are located here, i.e. how are they adapted to the biomic conditions of this region.
