Abstract Research Paper
Complete the abstract for the research proposal?
The abstract is a short (about 300 word) summary of your whole proposal. It should include 1-2 sentence for each of the following:
(a) a short description of what the issue/problem is and what the purpose of your research is;
(b) your research question or rationale is and your expected hypothesis;
(c) how you are going to address the issue (who and what you are going to measure and how);
(d) what you expect to find (and why);
(e) Why your study is important (both to science and to society) and what it will add to what we already know about the issue.
It should be written in future tense and have its own page. Typically, it doesn’t include citations. People usually write the abstract after writing the rest of the proposal.
