A. Analysis of Work from List 1 – Lincoln Memorial
A1. Work Description
The Lincoln Memorial is a towering display measuring 190 feet long, 120 feet wide, and 99 feet tall. It was constructed out of Colorado Yule marble. Thirty-six fluted Doric columns surround the memorial. The columns are 44 feet tall with a diameter at the base of 7 feet and five inches and lean slightly inward to support the building. Inside the Lincoln Memorial, you will find three chambers (north, south, and central). Between the north and south chambers, you will find the statue of Lincoln looking like he is sitting in thought.
