The debate that surrounds the proposed changes in the act are not largely about the legacy media, in particular broadcasting, but instead the public discussion is focused on the regulation of social media.
This research will examine the public response to changes proposed to the Communication Act in Canada. The research will evaluate social media responses with a variety of methods, including content analysis, policy analysis, and critical discourse analysis.
