Assignment 3 Group Research Design and Measurement Tools
Answer the following questions for my program evaluations course.
1) In class last week we covered the reliability with regard to survey questions. Review the following questions and determine if they are reliable. For each question below determine if it is reliable (unbiased) or unreliable (biased). If the question is unreliable state what type of biased question it is! such as negative questions or double-barreled questions and justify your response! NUMBER each answer accordingly before answering (like "1C. This question is…" ) so I know which question you are referring to.

1) Like stated above, Review the following questions and determine if they are reliable.
A) Should health-conscious students be concerned about how much caffeine they consume?
B) What brand of cigarettes do you smoke?
C) How bad do you think the economic recession will be?
D) Do you know about the physical effects of drinking alcohol? Yes, or no?
E) Do you drink alcohol when you are alone and in social situations? Yes, or no?
2) In group research design, one of the most commonly used design is nonequivalent control group design. For this design answer the following (15 points):
A) Diagram this type of research design With Os and Xs. (This doesn’t need to be a paragraph, if you don’t understand leave blank. (Ex: 2A. Blank))
B) Describe nonequivalent control group design and what are its strengths (be detailed!)
C) What are placebo influences and how social desirability factors? How can they adversely impact the results of nonequivalent control group design research?
3) In group research design, one type of design is called time series design. For this type of design answer the following questions (10 points):
A) Describe time series design (be detailed!)
B) Describe one threat to internal validity of time series design.
