Social Organization
As you reflected on in your first paper, social problems are significant issues that are social in nature, affect a large group of people, and require societal intervention. Some individuals engage in advocacy to create change, often connecting with social organizations to combat a social issue. The social organization plays a vital role in addressing social problems and providing the resources, people, and services to create and sustain change.
Instructions:
You will submit a three to four-page research paper focusing on a current social organization of interest. This organization should focus on one of the discussed social problems within this course, including issues in the criminal justice or education systems, inequality/discrimination, or extremism.
Within your discussion, include:
The name of the organization, its goals, and the mission statement
It's history
The organization's structure (where it is located, how many members it has, and what tactics they use?)
Major campaigns or issues they focus on and a description of the issues
Solutions they propose for these issues/Approaches to the issues
