Museum/Gallery Scavenger Hunt:
Visit the Google Arts and Cultures Project { https://artsandculture.google.com/partner } to virtually visit museums. If you cannot find one piece at your first museum, you can search at other ones as well. Be sure you are completing a formal analysis, which means describe how the principles and elements of art are being used in the works. In terms of Media, this is asking what the piece is made of.
You will be required to visit an art museum virtually through the Google Arts and Cultures Project. Within the content tab on D2L, the scavenger hunt will be posted. You are to print this out and complete this assignment before its assigned due date.
You will be asked to find various types of media and art based on the terms we have discussed within this course. Once you have found the artwork that fits the requirements you are to provide the information requested, complete a formal analysis of the work, and then provide your opinion of the work you have chosen.
Each question will require a different art piece, so you will need to hunt these down and virtually explore the museum for them. If you can’t find one of the works at your first museum, you can explore another, just be sure to provide the link to the work.
