Hotels have recognized the need to stage environmentally friendly meetings. Each of the following hotel chains has an environmental policy and / or initiative. Websites below to use to answer the questions below.
1. Review Fairmont’s “Eco-Meet: Green Meeting and Conference Planning Guide.” What does the Fairmont recommend in each of the following areas: waste management, water conservation and energy efficiency?
2. What is Kimpton’s Clean the World program? Why would they create this type of program?
3. Watch the Marriott Green meetings video. What are some of the ways that they are making their events more eco friendly?
