Write an advocacy policy speech about (Prompt, The federal government should add sex education in school curricula across the states to make children aware of safety risks).
Terms: Provide definitions, both dictionary and contextual to let us know what we are addressing in the proposition.
I. State the reason for change.
A. What is the nature of the disparity?
B. How extreme is it?
C. Does the disparity cause harm to something or someone?
D. Is the disparity inherent in the present nature of things?
II. Show how the policy proposed will resolve the problem.
A. What is the change?
B. What is the mechanism for change (how will change be achieved? Whose authority, what
agency, law etc.)
C. How much will it cost and how will it be paid?
D. Who will enforce the change? How will violations be handled? Who will enforce compliance?
III. State the consequences of the proposed change, both positive and negative.
B. How does it overcome the disparity?
C. How workable is the proposed policy?
D. What are the subsidiary effects of the proposed policy?
