In this exercise you will watch the video (use the above link or Google and access from your closest PBS station.) to answer questions about the video. You will also research, draw and gather information on some fossils presented in the video. Except where you are asked to research or draw, all answers to questions are expected to come directly from the video.
Module 07 Activity 7 Correlation-Done as Homework
Prior to completing this exercise you should review correlation concepts. Pay close attention to the figures and captions. You must also watch the video tutorials on Stratigraphy and Correlation. You’ll correlate layers based on the method provided in the video tutorial.
You can either print this and complete the correlation by hand. Scan or take pictures and upload the completed document if you do it by hand.
You may also complete this on the Word document using simple drawing tools for the correlation and answering the questions within the document. These drawing tools are found in the Word toolbar and allow you to draw straight lines (Look under Insert, Shapes, then choose the line symbol).
