Read through this week’s course material. This article focused on the thermodynamics of reversible folding mechanisms and methods to extract and measure the parameters necessary to understand and model protein conformation.

Specifically, link the properties of various molecules with their own experimental designs. Two main conclusions were drawn to carry out this procedure.

One must first be able to model the state changes as a function of variables such as denaturants and temperature.

Next, one must focus on baseline measurements because states of a protein can change almost instataneously based on sensitive conditions (1). Overall, this study was very insightful in that it gave a novel approach to modeling and better understanding protein stability.
