Aristotle Virtue Ethics
Using one of the key philosophers/ies discussed in the RELIGION or ETHICS section: PICK either a specific topic or philosopher. Defend a key argument for the philosophy (or from the philosopher).
For example, you could write FOR or AGAINST Anselm’s ontological argument, Nietzsche’s morality, William Paley’s defense for the existence of God, Hume’s objections against God, Augustine’s view of evil, etc. Subjects include the Existence FOR or AGAINST Miracles (C. S. Lewis or Hume), the existence of evil, philosophy of death, personal identity, the purpose of morality, etc.
1) Research papers are never written in the third person and do not use the word “I” in the writing (except, perhaps, in the introduction or conclusion). Think of it like you’re a lawyer presenting a case. Organize your ideas point by point (exhibit one, exhibit two, etc.). And then at the end draw conclusions. Based on these above ideas, it can be concluded that ________. And explain it.
