Beowulf
Prepare an argumentative essay, a textual analysis of one aspect of the work with a narrow focus discussing about Beowulf.
The essay should be about how Grendel is interpreted as the bad guy in the novel. Every paragraph should be a different argument. Maybe about Grendels look, his home, how the people of Heorot and Hrothgar disturbed him while he was living in peace, what they say he is, who he really is, how is he an outcast in the human world but not in the monster world, how is he similar to humans, how is he different, how his mother is behaving, how monsters too can experience feelings like humans, did he even deserve all of this just because of the fact that he is a monster etc… for counterarguments maybe how he did kill people, he could’ve just moved, he could’ve stayed with his mom in the water, how we don’t read that the mother was sad just that she was mad.
