Many of our COPD patients somehow figure out that positions (sitting upright, tripod) and pursed-lipped breathing allows them to inhale and exhale better. We learned how critical body position was on our COVID patients. When we placed our patients in a prone position, we saw an instant improvement in oxygenation.
