Your assignment is to compare/contrast two important issues. The first should be human impacts on climate change
(pp. 237-241). Choose one from the following for your second issue:
1) ocean acidification (pp. 242-243);
2) overwhelming the nitrogen cycle (pp. 243-244, plus Fig. 14 on p. 243);
3) ozone depletion (pp. 245-246);
4) depletion of fisheries resources (pp. 246-247); and
5) habitat destruction (p. 247-248).
Your essay should include:
1) a summary of each issue (i.e., what is the problem?)
2) compare/contrast how humans are involved for the two issues
3) summarize and compare/contrast the projected impacts of each issue for the future
4) discuss possible solutions for each issue (see “So what do we do?” section, pp. 248-249)
