In an expository essay, you will finish your short marketing plan that you started working on in the last unit. You will describe what your products and/or services will be, where and how you will distribute them, and which pricing and promotional strategies you will use and why.
You must directly reference the course textbook or other viable resource to support your choices.
Introduction:
Provide an introductory paragraph in which you briefly introduce your business and describe the purpose of the essay.
Product Section:
Provide a detailed description of your products or services, noting names, unique features, total packaging, and the value proposition (see pp. 138–139).
Place Section:
Describe your distribution plan (see p. 139).
Pricing Section:
Based on your research of the competition, describe the competition’s products/services and provide prices. Then describe the pricing strategy you will use (see pp. 354–356) and explain how the competition’s prices might impact your competitiveness in the marketplace.
Promotion Section:
Describe how you will promote your products/services based on your target market and place (distribution) that you previously determined.
Explain: (1) How your customers will know what you are offering and (2) why they will choose your products/services over those of your competitors. Describe your business’s core competencies. Explain how you will build relationships with your customers.
Conclusion:
Provide a short concluding paragraph.
